Zuheir Sebiy

Moroccan artist based in Brussels, Zuheir Sebiy, works with the VZW Vermeylenfonds as a Visual Storyteller and develops a multidisciplinary practice that includes cinema, music, photography.

Film director, screenwriter, songwriter, performer, and photographer, his work explores themes such as identity, sexuality, violence, rejection, and social marginality through intimate and politically charged narratives.

Influenced by a diasporic perspective, his artistic language creates a dialogue between Arab cultural influences and contemporary Western forms. Alongside his personal projects, he creates photo and video content for various artists, brands, and cultural institutions.
